Melanie Vincent is the founder and owner of Bija Yoga and Wellness. She has practiced yoga since college and in 2013, after her mother’s cancer diagnosis, Melanie came to yoga as a way to process the anxiety, depression, sadness, and exhaustion that come with supporting a loved one on their cancer journey. She became a certified teacher in 2016. In addition, Melanie is certified with the national organization Yoga for Cancer (Y4C), as well as Yoga for Breast Cancer Recovery and Beyond. She has taught extensively within the cancer community for the last two years offering restorative, chair, gentle Hatha, and meditation classes. As well, she has taught private clients, yoga 101 for those new to yoga, and gentle movement classes for seniors. Melanie is concurrently enrolled in an IAYT certified yoga therapy program and a national health coaching program. She is very excited to join A Place to Heal Wellness. She is looking forward to bringing the healing modality of yoga and meditation to this community and serving its members holistically along their journey to wellness.
When Melanie is not on her yoga mat you will find her running, hiking, or traveling with her husband, three children, and four-legged furry baby.
